The sole purpose in establshing the Ethics Pledge Program is to recognize Web Award Program owners , like you, who have taken The Pledge to judge all sites that apply for your award with integrity, honesty, impartiality and fairness.

That any site applying for your award will not undergo any type of prejudice against them. That all sites will be judged equally by your criteria. That you will maintain standards which will better the ethics of awards sites on the web.

We feel that some programs have gotten "off-track" by requiring your site to meet certain standards. That is not promoting Ethics, that is rating. You are not applying for an award, you are applying for membership in an organization that promotes ethics in award giving.

The Ethics Pledge Program is for serious award givers only. If you are accepted for membership, we are not endorsing your site or the content of your site. We are only endorsing your Award Program, verifying that you have taken The Pledge ( or any other ethics pledge of your choosing ) and that you have agreed to judge all sites with honesty, integrity, impartiality and fairnes with no prejudice against anyone.
